Holidays

Thankful to be off work, that I logged on & took care of what I needed to & it didn't take long.

That we reconsidered the crystal cupboard & getting it in white means I can get it delivered so we went with that, plus husband found a boot solution. & it was easy to use the pre-paid card online.

Remembered to check the meter and get more credit put on the gas.  That husband came shopping & I still got back in time for Pilates.  & got to speak to friend at the end & organise the next workshop, plus she's happy to have another one in the summer when I'm over.

That I didn't walk round to the dry cleaners with the curtains - they were shut.

That the plans have been sorted out now, with stuff being collected, & our trip to IKEA (which is way more appealing now we're not having to bring a flatpacked wardrobe home).

That I managed to stick out half an hour in the beer garden on my own - extending my comfort zone, & I remembered to post the letters.  & I missed the worst of the rain.

That we had a pleasant walk & chat, & it stayed dry for it.  Have found a new home for the crystal glasses - very happy it's saved me a trip to the charity shop with one box.  That new friend is mostly free so we can have Wednesday afternoon plans.

Have managed to meet my goals for the day, walk at the woods & unpacked a box - can see progress in the unpacking.

Organised

Thankful I put the bins out "just in case" even though I was first in both streets.

That we got the chairs collected and all the pieces were there for the single one.

That I found more sleeves and they fit new game. That I risked saying I'd like to go anyway and got added to the WhatsApp group & gaming is still on.  Very pleased with myself - was disappointed when I thought it wasn't on.

For getting myself to the woods & I was back in the car before it rained.  Found the games and brought them round, & found the dice. Proud of myself for the recording the box contents as I did.

That I found the proof of address letters so we can call into the bank and change address.  

That it occurred to me to call in to the shop and i got what I was after. 

Thankful to have the week off - plenty of time to unpack and do chores.  That the house is really nice & cosy - am loving it.  Better than if we've'd stayed put.

Happy

Thankful for the gaming session, same people from before so I'm getting to know them.  Enjoyed the games, & another player commented on how good it is to be paying that with people who know how to play.  Board game arena is a good host & I'm enjoying the stats.

Enjoyed chatting with friends and heard from a few I wasn't expecting to.

Remembered to phone my parents.  Dad has given us money which is a relief, & they enjoyed the photos and videos I sent.  They seemed cheerful.

That dinner was nice, and there was a nice amount.  

That the dishwasher works and  I've made a start on cleaning the kitchen stuff.  And I've packed up a set of glasses we don't need - ready to give away. 

That husband discovered the freezer defrost / refreeze before we ate anything that affected us.  That the beef seems to be ok (the expensive stuff in the freezer).

That the Christmas stuff fits above the wardrobe so is out of the way.

Husband came round to the other house & we remembered to bring back the chocolate.

Spent some time doing things I enjoy (colouring and playing instruments - am happy to have my music books so I have something to play).  

That the scrap is being collected tomorrow which frees up wed to go out of town shopping.  

Social

Glad I went to the woods and got my walk in & my time in nature, that it didn't start raining til after I was back in the car.

Also for husband snuggling me in before I got up, I'm loving the brushed cotton bedding, bed is so cosy now.

That he put up the final bookcase and I'm nearly done unpacking books.  The library is really starting to come together.

Husband doing all the cooking, and tomorrow's dinner smelling lovely.

That I like gaming and have found an online meetup group I'm enjoying being part of, & when I dialled back into the session I got into some fun games.  That they can't hear him down the 

Caught up with a couple of husband's friends too,  sociable evening! That husband is happy for me to be playing with other people & doing my own thing.

Protectors

Thankful for husband being in same dept & for the pizza lunch.  That team mates were in & so we had friends to sit with.  That I enjoyed the pizza I had and so ate lunch.  

That the team meeting was a laugh and that I like the team I'm in.  That I had another easy day and QA okayed my work.  That I had approvals by the time the boss got back to me so i didn't need to make his suggested corrections. 

For my boss being accommodating and supportive; that I'm able to hold down this job.  That I recognise that work is a protective factor and a positive contribution in my life.

That it was dry for my walk at the woods and Ipstly had the loop to myself.  That I remembered how much I love being there and how good it is for me.  That there are woods close to home so I can get there in a lunchtime.

That people were kind and let me pull out on my journeys today.  That I got to the docs in time, & to gaming on time. That I found a space in the carpark and that traffic had cleared enough for me to get out.

That I love my life and things are going well.  Husband is amazing and I am starting to settle and make friends.

I got a game I liked at today's session and was near the top in terms of attendance. For tracker and journalling apps and so I can record the sessions.  That it's easy to set up habits and trackers.

Better

Thankful to be feeling better, to have got up earlier and cracked on with work.

Enjoyed editing the documents and being able to get on.  Newbie came to team meeting & is a good laugh. 

Got the curtains.  They look good and am relieved husband carried them for me.  

That he got the freezer round & we now have some kitchen supplies.  Like the onion chutney from the hamper.

That we managed to get all the cardboard into the recycling point, & that noth our recycling bins got emptied.  

For callback from the energy supplier and the electric meter is converted and I'm booked in for the gas.

That I got to speak to the guy at the storage place and he received the authorisation - phew.  Fingers crossed it all goes OK with our removals.

Progress

Thankful for an easy work day, & that I managed to get what I needed from my boss. & then I just made it to hypercare for the next stage.

That we remembered to put the bin out & have just remembered the second one.

That I finally managed to catch up with a few phone calls, & found out what the doc wanted - & just phoning back from the missed call wouldn't've done that.

That we managed to collect husband's parcel, & went a sensible way when we got caught in traffic - thankful the shopping centre was in the opposite direction

Speaking to the storage place made progress, & the delay gives me time to sort out authorisation & clear my balance.

Feeling better today

House

Thankful husband figured out why the heating wasn't coming on and fixed it.

That he's still working on assembling the book cases for me and figuring how to fit everything in.

That he's put shelves up next to my computer and my crystal trays fit in perfectly.  Glad I brought them from the other house.

That I got some cool things when i was shopping, the curtain tiebacks look great, & I got more brushed cotton bedding.  

That it's warmer today with no ice and I walked round to the house and back.  

That I braved joining the online gaming group and got into a game.  Husband was there to help me set up the headset and I enjoyed the session.

Warm

Thankful I'm doing half days and can take it easy.

That there is plenty to be ticking over with and not so much I feel bad about being off.

That the duvet cover is dry and husband helped so now bed is ready.

That there was a carpool space right outside the building with the hampers so not far to carry.  Also that there is plenty inside that I like. 

That I realised I had no lights on before I met anything on the road.

Husband has figured out how to set the timer and the house is a lot warmer now.  That we can afford heating.

I got the next few Christmas cards written and posted.  

Calming

Counselling was OK.  I got round in time to get settled.  

Collected husband and got him back here in time to set up for his meeting, & there was enough bread left for us each to have toast for lunch.  

Made it to supervalu for hot chocolate while he was loading the car, and tea arrived in time for me to eat before gaming.  He also liked the cake I got to celebrate our first meal in the house, & said I chose well. 

Had a little nap instead of a meeting I didn't want to go to.  Glad I made the right choice there.

Got bread so we can have breakfast and remembered peanut Butter too.  

Thankful to have the car and am able to drive - means I can easily get around and transport our stuff. 

Thankful for gaming, & that tonight was a 2 game night so I got to leave at the half way point.  That the roads were fine too, & the traffic had cleared when it was time for me to leave.

Happy

Thankful for the electric screwdriver, & for getting the cupboards finished.  For the flat pack furniture being easy to assemble & not requiring much strength.

That we currently have the internet at both houses, so I could sit on the sofa & watch a film with lunch.

Very thankful for the overlap with the 2 houses, that we can take our time moving, & getting stuff together. & that we could leave the house empty while it was being painted.

That I've got half days to help me get sorted in the house.  

That I'm fit & flexible enough to sit on the floor and assemble the furniture, & for being able to climb the stepladder and clean out the cupboards.  That my energy levels are good, & the snoring strips are helping me sleep better at night.

Found

Thankful I've savings, & it's easy to transfer money between accounts, that I can use email instead of text.

That the hot water in the house is fine.

I found the light shades I like when we were out shopping today.

The painter is going to drop off some left over paint for us - phew, I marked the wall already.

I found the door pieces, so the walls are protected again.

Found my pin, & missing bank card.

Contacted someone to clear the gutters, another job off the list.  The painter knows a tiler so hopefully get the tile in the kitchen fixed.

That it hasn't got as cold as expected & was quite pleasant today.

For having tomorrow afternoon off, & husband is going to take it off as well so he can finish the beds.

Clean

Thankful the painting got finished yesterday & it looks good.

That the carpet washer was already at the house and instructions were easy to follow.  Carpet came up nice and was starting to dry out when we went back. 

That husband finished it off - it was hard work!  

The traffic had eased when we went back to the shop & managed to be right outside the shop when husband came out with the dehumidifier.

That the shopping centre we went to was quiet & we picked up a few things.

Found the needle I dropped on the bed. 

Chairs were easy to assemble & table is arriving before Christmas.  Delivery window tomorrow has reduced to 4 hours from all day so I can have a lie in.

Excited

Glad husband came to the house with me.  That we got there and back safely. 

That the bins have arrived and are now behind the locked gate.

For him taking a half day and us not needing to for to work. 

For heating and having a safe warm comfortable house.

That the painter has finished and it all looks good.

I remembered to order the rest of the dining chairs at sale price and they'll come in to local store.

Getting on better at work, calmer and still having good ideas.

For Internet and friends and being able to message friend during the day.  That we have a laugh.  For Pilates on zoom and the new Friday chill our session that I mostly make.  And for husband doing weights with me. Looking forward to getting the heavier weights and being able to progress.

Glad husband is excited about house & we've now got one of the rooms mapped out.  That he helped me design the storage unit for my crystals etc.

Supported

Thankful for my Wednesdays off and for having a counsellor I like.  For being able to have a lie in, and that i've found a way to be comfy in the office. 

That counselling has been fun lately, and today giving her a little tour got me my 250 steps so I managed the full 9/9 which is an achievement.

That I got the cash for the painter, that the credit union is a pleasant place to be and has its own decently sized carpark. 

That I got to the post office and got my stamps and got my parcel and first lot of Christmas cards posted.  Remembered to message aunt for her address.

That the Internet is getting transferred quicker than expected so we'll be in next week.  Got the mattresses ordered so they'll be here next week too - hopefully before we're sleeping in the new house.  

The sack barrow husband wanted was in stock at screwfix and we called into the furniture shop next door.  The assistant recognised us and knew why we were there.

That the gaming is fun and the barman made my hot chocolate.  That we were inside in the warm and we played a new game - love experiencing the new games.  Also for the recognition that the gaming and meetup in general is an important part of my wellness plan.

Thankful everything is coming together with the house.  Thankful for my friends and being able to have a laugh.  And for husband, feeling very lucky with the people around me.

Home progress

Thankful phone volume was on so I heard plumber ring.  That there'd been a cancellation so he could fit us in today.  The boiler is fine & he showed me how to work the controls.

I knew exactly where the bill with the ref he needed was, & the to & fro got me a good chunk of my 10k steps.  

The painting is coming along nicely, & husband came round with me to look at it.  Found the notebook with the room measurements in so they're all in the same place.

That my boss is flexible & I was able to take the time to get to the house as needed.  That I made it into work with husband & got to speak to team.  Team meeting was a laugh as usual, & I needed it.  The boss joined in too.  Managed to help a few colleagues, & found the easy- guide that I'd last sent to a different colleague.  Glad I found it & it came in handy.  Also that I finally managed to help husband out.  Nice to be able to do that, usually he's the one helping me.

Nice surprise reward from work today.  Tis a good place to work.  Glad to be back on my feet and have the experience, and that I am seeming to be getting more used to it.  

Thankful for ebooks and the library collection, for being able to read in bed without disturbing husband.  Thankful too for my day off and counselling.  

Library

Team meeting was a good laugh, as was the usual weekly meeting.

Got round to the house in good time for the painter & enjoyed the few things I unscrewed.  Remembered to bring home the screwdriver.  Called back round later & like the colour - matches the wardrobes well. 

Glad to be getting the steps in, & that I made some of Pilates.

Excited about the library, I've always wanted one. Husband has started the process of transferring the internet.  I finally remembered to contact the removals company to ask for a quote.

Others volunteered for the week between Christmas & New Year so I don't need to.

House

Thankful to be awake & able to start early.

For having the energy to do star jumps & a quick workout.

That I had an easy day workwise, 

That I had a fabulous weekend, enjoyable evening shopping with friend.  

Remembered to collect steps & hoover.  Got locks & oil-filled radiators, & a radiator key.  Got a nice kettle too, & remembered to take cups & drinks supplies to house.

Got cobwebs hoovered up & curtains taken down, & we got the heating working - very relieved.

Enjoyed walk & workshop & both friends turned up to latter.

Still in a good mood :)

Had a reasonable day at work & managed to get through a chore of a task successfully.  Boss was happy with me sticking on an out of office and ignoring everyone.

Team meeting was a good laugh, & I can take the full time off at Christmas if I want.

The dining chairs we like are reduced even further, & there's a store 30 mins away with loads in stock so we've decided to get more.

Got my favourite sales assistant at the sofa shop, pleased it was her who got our order & we had a pleasant interaction.  Also got free assembly on the table, & I can either get the bean bag chair delivered with the table or collect it myself from the store.

Made the effort to go to Pilates & managed nearly all of it before dinner arrived.

Checked the weather & it's going to be mild til next weekend.

Friend has sent me the advent colouring, our annual tradition - I'd forgotten about it til he messaged
