Books

Thankful for friend having sent me the link to the garage.  That I've got my new brakes and a recommendation for the parking sensors.

That I have the perfect chance to go to more gardens tomorrow while giving husband a lift, and there's a cafe so I'm going to have lunch there  and then I'm off to the garden centre with another friend who has offered me plants. 

Thankful for having friends.  And the team i'm in at work and for my boss.

For having library books and access to audiobooks.  That I'm enjoying the animal squares.  And when I go for more wool I can also pick up treats.

Husband came for a walk with me to the shop!  This is a massive achievement.  And we got home before it rained.  And I remembered to take the old batteries for recycling at the shop.

He ordered tea while I napped and got me an apple pie which was great - once I knew where he'd ordered from I was wanting one.  He does well for me and chooses well.

Had enjoyable conversations with a few friends.  Including one about chocolate.  And I resisted eating after my window.

That an audiobook I got out the library that I'd got out before remembered where I'd got to.  They have a good variety and I'm enjoying them.

That I managed to figure out where I'm up to at work, & we're nearly finished.

Support

Thankful I brought what I needed to to the team meeting.  That everything seems to be in hand.

The boss agreed with one of my ideas as a good catch and I managed to figure a couple of things out.  Also that I just pre-empted a request from the lab so we'll have it ready as needed. 

For YouTube and tutorials and being able to figure things out.  Am proud of myself for getting the pandas done for the squares.   

Relieved that some advice I gave turned out well.  Friend is also relieved he took that first step and thanked me again.  

Thankful to be in a team with a good supportive boss and that things are going well.  That I have friends and husband and people to support me and that I can turn to in need.  Thankful to be able to pay that forward.  

Glad I left the bags by the door and husband put them out & they've been collected.  That he got his lego and is enjoying building it.

That we have a nice comfortable house and can afford to have the heating on, & food to eat.  That we mostly work from home in comfort.

Gardens

Thankful for a lie-in and also that I managed to be showered and dressed by the time friend arrived.  

That the weather stayed dry and mostly sunny for our walk and I got some useful tips and plant offers.  Also got to talk through my ideas and husband is on-board.  That the cafe was open and we had a nice sit out in the sun.  Going to the arboretum with a friend on wed to look at more plants.  Today I saw some I really like.

That I had a quiet relaxing afternoon & evening.  Nice to have friends to be out with and nice to have plenty of alone time.

Husband lets me snuggle up to him on the sofa and is happy watching the show I chose.   Got a bonus episode today.   Glad he looks out for me.  That it's easy to do things for him, and I found the spare soap and took it to him.

That I've had a cull of app subscriptions and it was easy enough to cancel them.  

That I'm fit and able for the walk and managed the 100 steps part.  We had a really good wander and I got some snowdrop pics for friend, including some unusual varieties.  Also got a message from online contact about how she appreciates the flower pics.

Flowers and friendship

Thankful husband came to the shops with me.  That I got a space in the market carpark.  For not needing my library card to collect my reservations & having checked the existing loans and being able to renew them online.  

That he cooked lunch and I had enough left over to supplement veg at tea.  That I've finally finished the disappointing root veg fries.  Husband picked up treats I like. 

That I reached out to contact and we had a pleasant afternoon at the gardens.  Took some photos for online phone, and another friend identifies the flowers for me.  As we were leaving my favourite water feature was back on.  Contact thanked me for the invite.

Thankful that the gardens are near enough to just pop in and so are the woods.  For the cafe / coffee van and being able to grab a drink.  And for them having toilets.  Also thankful they don't enforce last entry an hour before closing.  And that it was sunny and dry while we were out.

Husband watching TV with me, & that we have fascinating conversations.   

For a cosy welcoming bed.  That it's plenty big enough for us and I love the brushed cotton effect.  

Walks

Thankful team mate suggested going offline & I took the opportunity to go for a walk, that it was dry and sunny & there are various circular routes to take around the estate.  There are plenty of open green spaces around me.  That we're getting on well these days & managing the workload between us.

That I was mostly left alone for the day to get on with the what I needed to, & it's mostly done.  Was also around to pick up a message to give someone else a hand which involved having a nice chat with another team mate.

Explored a nearby estate at lunch for a bit of variety, & it was dry again.  

Thankful we got the house we did, at the start of the estate for easy getting in and out.  That we held out for a detached area & in the town.  I am thankful for this house & location a lot.

That even leaving in the rush hour doesn't cause much delay to work, & I avoid most of the traffic on the way home too.

I have plenty of hobbies I enjoy.

Going out with friends on Sunday, & getting a lift too!

Fall guys

Thankful my document suite is finally approved.  Phew.

That I had enough work to see me through the day and more is in without me needing to look too hard.

That friend has her cv submitted and is excited about it.  

That I remembered to make tomorrow's breakfast, and the tesco delivery arrived so I have berries for it.   And husband takes care of the shopping and most meals.  That he made lunch while I went to the shop for more tests.  And I got back just before it was ready.  It was sunny and dry for the walk.  Husband didn't want to go to site which saved me the drive.

I finally got through to the garage and know which brakes need replaced and have the car booked in locally & they collect and drop it off.  

Changed my address with the pension here, & the number to phone for the UK one.  Proud of myself for doing admin tasks off the list today.

That not catching up with an acquaintance freed me up for the gaming session which I really enjoyed and was just what I needed after work.  Sane for forgetting I wanted to go to the library - I can do that on Saturday.  The game we played was still free and I was introduced to a new games service.

I am good enough at the crochet basic stitch to make straight edges for squares, & the squares project gives me the chance to try out other patterns without them needing to be neat.

I got to ask pertinent questions in the team meeting which prompted the boss to remember something he wanted to discuss.

That I have lots to be thankful for and I have a good life.  

Better

Thankful to be feeling better today, that the shaky feeling passed and I had plenty to get on with in the end.  

Work day passed fine and team meeting was a good laugh.  That I don't need to be onsite, & it's a quick easy journey to drop husband off.  Glad we stuck to my wish to live in the town, & we got a house the same side as work.

Got out for a walk at lunch, discovered a new block to walk.  Resisted KFC and had a packet of curry instead.  

Finished scarf and found a pattern to base star stitch off in a way that I like.  Glad I have the ability to create and figure out what I need to do.

That I'm enjoying the JavaScript and the other languages will be easier once I'm more accomplished at that.  Thankful I had the means to do the OU degree and fit a computing module in so I know I like coding, and friend saying she's doing ro learn gave me the push to start.  It'll come in handy for work too and if I decide to apply for a springboard place.

Remembered a couple of things that have been collectively forgotten about so we can get them resolved and it never gets known outside the team that we forgot.

Watched the second film that was recommended.  Am glad I did cos I'm enjoying it more than the first. Thankful we got the sofa and I can happily spend the evening on it.
