Shade

I have a longer walk to the shop now, 1600 steps rather than 1000.  It involves heading in the opposite direction upon leaving the house - past a couple of dino hunting supply drops ;-)   If I walk behind first & then by in a loop the game should've loaded by the time I need it.

I also made it out for a longer walk / dino hunt.  The football club is quite a useful place to visit for this, & is fairly close to the park behind.  Glad I remembered to take water with me, & that there was plenty of shade to rest in.

Husband cooked bacon for breakfast & doubled his batch of brownies.  He also made me another batch of curry for lunch.

Enjoying the colouring & the book I'm reading.  Also looks there like's a buyer interested in some stuff I'm trying to declutter...

There's a rare just appeared a bit away.  I've been home long enough to pee & refill the water.  Off I go for another few hundred steps.  It won't be many...  The devices should be charged enough now too :-)  There's another dino I can collect on the way past, it does get addictive & pushing you to go that little bit further...

Lazy days

• I discovered battle mode in the game I'm playing, it kept it entertained when I was too lethargic / wiped out to do much else.
• I'm glad I have the option to stay home / in bed when I'm ill.
• Husband came home early
• Glad too that I was volunteering so I wasn't tempted to run, walking to my marshal point nearly wiped me out!  
• Thankful for the breeze & I was enjoying the sound of the waves.
• the beach was reasonably empty & I got a little walk on the sand
• Took husband out on the chores he wanted 
• I like being able to do things for him
• thankfully his cap that went through a hot dryer cycle survived undamaged
• My Grandad is home from hospital & is reasonably ok
• Managed a little decluttering

bacon

• Husband took me for a bacon reset, 
• the cook gave me the extra crispy bit of bacon.
• my day improved after that
• Lunch was a good laugh.
• I got a document signed & a step further along the chain
• I finished a piece of work
• I had reason to go for a walk in the sunshine
• had a decent chat with a few people I don't usually get to chat to
• remembered to order a special card for an event next month

All is well

I had a really good day.  Quality lunch with a couple of friends rather than the big crowd (which can be quite awkward).  Plus I was secretly pleased to prove the knob from yesterday so wrong. & I got free ice-cream just for asking if there was any ice-cream :-)

Several wanders in the sunshine,  & I got to level up a dinosaur.  I feel like I'm actually making progress!  Discovered a few more things to go on my later list.

Oooh last night a workwork came round to do more on the swing.  It's getting ever closer! & I went out on a dino hunt.  Feel far less self conscious in the park / estate behind than on the main road, which meant I didn't feel as silly.  Plus it meant I discovered that there was no-one in the play area so I got to go on the swings!  I love swings, I am so excited about getting the one in garden :-)  & I love that I'm so easily excited!

I am still cracking on at work making steady progress.  I got a document another step along the chain - it's a slow, frustrating progress and I have lots of them at various stages.  Nothing happens very quickly & my part is done so I just need to keep track of where things are at & I am managing that ok :-)

find positives where you can

A van flipped in front of me on the way to work.  On it's side across the right hand lane.  It could have been worse in so many ways. It scattered hedge across the other side of the dual carriageway, but no-one was in that lane.  Several people going the other way stopped to see if anyone needed help.  The people in the van all got out, walking.  There was nothing behind the van to crash into it, we were in the other lane & managed to stop.

The emergency services turned up quickly & got us moving again.  I know that the van flipped because someone pulled out suddenly in front of it, I saw that.  At least I managed to give a statement that it wasn't their fault.

I invited myself to some training I need, it was luck I saw it in someone's calendar & got the chance to casually ask about it in conversation while the trainer was around.
My day went quickly, I am still making progress on some things.

I had a quick answer for someone that was being a knob, & I can easily shrug it off.  Husband's home soon, cuddles :-)

& my swing is getting ever closer to completion, I am so excited 💪

work again

It was sunny & I had several (or more) strolls in the sunshine.
I turned up at IT just as the IT guy had sent me an email - I love that timing
I also made the same decision as the IT guy did, but I had extra reasoning - yay!  I'm on top of this!
I got up early enough for a shower & to record my dreams & message husband, & he sent me a sweet message back.

Turned up on time for a meeting, & the guy was telling me he enjoys our meetings.  He also mostly agreed with my report & was paying enough attention to spot a typo.  We are making progress towards finalising the report.

I picked up something I was looking forward to doing & lost track of time.  It's interesting & has given me a challenge which I'm solving.

Friend has the internet - yay!

sundays

I love Sundays too!
I woke up early & had a lovely time reading in bed.  The tarot book I'm reading is fascinating.  Husband automatically rolled over in his sleep & put his arm around me.  & then I had another snooze.  Got up in town for the tip, & his McD breakfast before I was off to tarot club.  A lovely meeting.

Husband remembered early enough in the day about his ma's birthday that I could (damn - I've just realised he had 2 Maccy D's today!!) drive him to the shops & the PO & get a card posted.  & yes, an extra few steps in for lunch.  & I remembered to go to the corner shop during opening hours & they had a big bag of hay & some lovely flowers.  Also had a decent dino hunting spree on the trip.

Have also just remembered to phone my mum, I said I would yesterday & forgot.  Here goes then I'm off on a dino hunting spree.....
