Hobbies

Was early enough to the dentist to call into the volunteer centre.  They were thrilled with the wool & the donations.  

Dentist was relatively painless & since I have an appointment in 2 weeks anyway, he'll use that to fix my crown.  

Work was surprisingly calm & I've done enough to cover me for a bit of the morning too.

Remembered to phone the doctor's & got my prescription paid.  Husband came for the walk & we went shopping as well as to put my prescription request in.

Picked up a crochet hook & started on the new wool, had forgotten how much I enjoy crochet, & it's easier to do watching tv than cross stitch is because it can be done further away

Home

Thankful I got home safely.  That the drive was ok & I got to the ferry with plenty of time & late enough to get through check-in.  Paying extra for the premium was worth it, they had fruit and proper cutlery, & a reasonable selection of tea so I wasn't just on hot chocolate. I got a lounger & had a much needed nap.

The view out the front of the lounge was impressive, & the crossing was fairly smooth.  Got out & through the tunnel before the worst of the traffic.

My mum got me snacks and juice for the ferry, & wasn't too bad about worrying about me missing the ferry.  She did the bacon early enough for me to leave on time.  

Husband got me lego as a treat, & I found all my crystals & all the chocolate when I unpacked.

The projects aren't locked yet so there's no urgency tomorrow.  Husband got me an emergency dental appointment & while I'm parked there I can call to the volunteer centre (& maybe the library).

Friend sent me links to a few tarot meetups so hopefully some of those will be ok.  Have taken over the tea social group & arranged a meet too so maybe I will meet some nice people, or at least get to chat with the other local group organiser & see if he's open to me hosting my walks in his group.

Friends

Thankful for friends, for being able to stay with them, & spend time with them.  That a year later we still have plenty to chat about.  That I've managed to see everyone I wanted to, & everyone is OK.

Thankful for a lovely time at the beach, & ice-cream & more beach. For friends feeding me & lucking in to a toast dinner with bonus Yorkshire.  Yummy.  

The weather's been good for me, reasonable temps & not much rain. 

For having the car and being able to get around easily.  That both countries drive on the left and the road rules and signs are similar.

For having this morning free to sort it my packing u pressured.  For having the foresight to buy more supplies last night so there was bread for bacon butties.

That I've been able to take 3 weeks off without having to think about work, or be contacted by anyone needing anything.  This is way better than taking the extra week in July and having to cover.  

For getting onto friend's WiFi, & that I get roaming for when I'm not.

 

Plans

Glad I managed the horse riding without incident, injury free  :)   that it stayed dry til the lesson was over.

That we got window seats at the cafe and the beach is open again.

Naptime 

Friend enjoyed her reading & we had a pleasant evening. 

Discovered the actual time of the workshop so have planned accordingly, better chance of being on time now.  Also that I have convenient snacks to take.

Neighbour is free to meet whenever's convenient  - easy to fit her in.

Thankful for cafe & that it was dry sitting at beach.  For having the time to sit. 

Made it to second stop OK and recovered my nerves.  Also that they had alternatives to hot chocolate.  Like the cards my friend gave me and she was pleased with the reading I did.

Owner was in the shop and had a break to chat with me.  Have also got a solution for getting a mutual friend there.  Bought some new crystals whilst showing adequate restraint.

Remembered the important stuff when shopping and we cooked the curry which was yummy.  

Have plenty of cash and friend has sorted out a fun activity for tomorrow.  All is well.

Travel

Thankful to arrive safely at my next destination.  And that I managed to get in and out of the house.  

Dinner was good - we ordered just the right amount,  and chose well.

Got to the cafe and had the toasted teacake I was craving, glad I found out the beach is closed without having made a special trip just for the beach, or arranging to meet anyone there.

Weather was nice and I got to sit out at the beach and read - glad I took my book, & hot parked in the best carpark. 

Friend likes the tea I brought her & says the fifteen sachets are really good.

I braved asking for extra covers and now have plenty.  Friend is confirmed for tomorrow & I have my tarot cards out ready.

Thankful to arrive OK, that I got and remembered sufficient directions to get me to signposts.  

Got the ironing done and the present is wrapped and stashed while friend is out.

The dogs are sitting quietly with me.

Am enjoying my book.

Having comfy places to stay and friends to visit.
