Solotober

 I finished my month of daily solo gaming!  Am impressed I stuck with it.  Plus I found some games to enjoy solo

Had a good day in work, caught up with the boss about everything I needed to & he's agreed to the extra I want to do

The scanners arrived & we have them implemented so big boss should be happy, just the paperwork to go

Got to see some of the fireworks :)

Managed to get some brownie points for helping someone out, & was pleased with myself for my wording, & being able to find my previous as a template

Got parked in the car pool so not far to walk in the rain

Enjoyed breakfast with team mate & had a nice catch-up.  Lunch was also fun.

Productive

Got up early and started work - loads of hours banked

Had a nice catch up with the boss

Break with office mate & plans for breakfast 

Been decisive with a couple of games I'm purging

Meeting was productive, we covered what we needed to and have a plan

Enjoyed updating my challenge lists, esp when I found I'd done way better than I thought in one of them

Thankful we live so close to work and it's easy to pop in whenever, and that i mostly get too choose whether to work from home or site

Exciting

The drive there was ok, glad I stopped for fuel, & we got parked easily

Breakfast pastries

The morning session was interesting & I have plenty to tell the boss about

Got home safely

Enjoying another of our games solo, & discovered a free print & play for it

The course is online modules so doesn't interfere with games night :)

Work

Caught up with the boss again, he appreciates my ideas

Documents got progressed so we can start the next cycle

Enjoyed teabreak with the others

Ate plenty of fruit today

Got onto the course I'm interested in 

Gaming

Thankful for Pilates friend & the online classes, made today's & enjoyed it

Remembered to phone my mum & she was pleased to hear from me - & chatty

Got my solo play in & enjoyed updating my geeklist, thankful for the bonus day off (bank holiday)

Being able to have the heating on & being warm & cosy

The new pens seem to be working okay on the animal meeples.  Glad I found that suggestion :)

Magic

 A day of magic and recovery, 

Gaming with husband - 2 different games

Long weekend, so we can play more tomorrow

An afternoon with a friend, good conversation, magical woods

Am thankful she drove, & that she enjoyed it

The cafe was still open, & looks like it's staying open through the winter

The river walk was open too & there was hardly anyone around

Relaxing

Had my phone with me (to be able to use as a torch) when the power went

Husband keeps a lantern handy in the hall for such times

Power cut was short 

Printer had finished - & the fish are fab

We got a walk round to the shops

The new curry is yummy

Got to play a couple of games

Fireworks

Glad I accepted invitation from friend

Parking angel did me proud - great spot & easy to pull out at the end

The urgent thing got taken care of, relatively painlessly

Thankful to have friends

Had a long chat with team mate, just checking we're on the same page about things

Enjoyed the fireworks, & am glad I went out

Also did much better in my solo game

Was warm enough, chose well

Expansions

Passed the manual handling assessment- phew

Had a good catch up with the boss, & he's as happy with me as always

Made a few suggestions that went down well

Got teabreak in early before the meeting

The new ice-cream is lovely 

Called into husband's favourite shop on the way home as a treat for him

Figured out the game I got out yesterday, glad I had all evening for it!  

Plus discovered a couple of expansion items i didn't realise we had

Completed the expansions challenge

The paint pens arrived and I got to trial them on easily replaced 3D printed tokens rather than my minis

Husband found his magnifying glass for me

Dinosaurs

Got out for a couple of walks in the sunshine

Husband's cleared another space in the games expedit and I've combined some expansions to free up more space 

Enjoyed signing up for more challenges and organising my geeklist entries

Glad I decided not to play dinosaur world tonight

The new expansions look good and I'd forgotten how cool the metal coins are

Husband set up the next round of the card game

Managed to instantly troubleshoot his gaming issue 

He's made more mint choc chip ice-cream for me

Interesting conversation with a friend about ai

Glad I went to the meeting and the second half was better than usual expected 

Calm

Got back to sleep

Managed to comment on more of the document and explain my concerns

I got to finish early while the corrections were being done 

The latest version is much better

Glad we have got to the point where we can have these conversations 

Husband came out of his meeting to help me 

He takes care of the shopping and cooking - & asked for what ice-cream I want next 

They've come and cut the branches right back which saves us a job, & having to get the tools 

Stayed calm and didn't let myself get flustered, also managed to do something useful towards the editing 

Entertained

Got out for a quick walk while the weather was good

Enjoyed the gaming forum discussions I was in today

Getting to finish work early, but also being able to do an hour later on

That a document is finally with me for review, so I have plenty of work to get on with

Husband has taken the bin out

That I have access to plenty of games and books and things to keep me entertained

Nature

The weather improved and we got our walk in relative dry

There are still plenty of flowers at the gardens and the trees are worth seeing 

There's an alternative to the 100 steps 

The cafe now does toasties and looks to be staying open through the winter

It was lovely being out and we paid more attention 

Husband played the game I set out and it's still one of his favourites 

I think I'm getting more decisive and quicker in games, things have changed a lot in the last few years (healthwise and treatment wise) 

Reminded today of how much progress we've made in work team

Got my solo game in, one I've previously played a lot

Am excited on a friend's behalf about a job she's applying for - fingers crossed for her

Going put with a different friend next weekend to the same gardens, am looking forward to it 

Games

Glad I confirmed one of the games on the cull list is really for the cull list, & it gave me a new entry in some of the challenges I'm in

Friend arrived & was very happy to be playing his game.  We all had fun

Got another of the longer games out, ready to play tomorrow

A solo play helped me refamiliarise myself with the rules, & more progress towards the challenges

Glad of the variety away from the roll and writes, and to be getting into the games collection

Success

Made it to work and got someone sorted

Workmate waited for me for lunch

Remembered the biscuits and my notepad for the meeting

Team meeting was a good laugh

Workmate texted about gaming so I didn’t need to remember to contact him

Work stuff

Got the gig meetings sorted and batch one os now set up recurring (& I got the room for the full set)

The meeting was fun and productive, went well

Dropped husband home beforehand and collected biscuits :)

Team mate was very happy to rescue me from excess biscuits 

Team meeting was a laugh, we're back on track

The project started being locked so there was something to show them

The clashing meeting got cancelled 

Made it to the library to collect my reservation 

More social

A little investigation & I've uncovered a problem & come up with some options. One my favourite things to do :)

Caught up with a workmate today & had a laugh

Avoided someone I dislike, also a win

Husband & I turned up to a presentation the boss requested & attend, & I got to contribute sensibly, plus there was chocolate & fruit juice

Gaming session was fun, & I got my solo plays in too, friends turned up earlier than expected so we had plenty of time to play & chat

Husband takes care of the kitchen floor, it lovely when it's clean

Volunteering finished early

My documents got through QA with no comments

Tried the game I took to volunteering, other games probably feasible for future sessions - the desk is bigger than I thought 

Even though i don't like the game, i'm glad I gave it another chance.  Maybe I'll read the stories without playing the games - I have options :)

Got a nap in before I had to go out 

Rest

Got a lie down before friend arrived to refreah myself a little 

Managed to play dungeon pages properly and actually win - much better experience 

The gaming worked out well, zombie Dice which rarely comes out, and another card game that doesn't really work 2P

Got the geekgold I needed for my new badges - very pleased with myself

Submitted a review, contemplating another 

Remembered to look up rules for Wednesday 

Got back to cross stitch and been enjoying thay listening to audiobook 

Excited about the new gig at work - and being able to finally start something 

Plans in motion for next weekend too

Social & walks

Got my solo play in early and got my H10 rank in time to finish my square, very impressed with myself

Husband made yummy new curry

We played the new duel game again and I like it, won a different way this time

Walk with friend was good, and less about work than usual

Invited to the lab night out, glad I went, also glad I left when I did 

Have a new game laminated ready to play

Managed a few tries 

Got parked in my first choice carpark 

Remembered to get husband's pop on the way home

Got my 10,000 steps 

Social

Sorted out that husband isn't bothered by the washing up

Made it to work in time to catch breakfast with the others, & it was fun

Lunch was also a good laugh & we enjoyed the 

spice box

Had a laugh with some of the analysts too

Got the urgent thing done & everything i needed from the boss before his holiday

The boss agreed to the thing I was excited about 

Finally got the new game played, husband is prepared to try it again 

Made it to tesco and got the cake and toothpaste I wanted 

Raised a good safety catch at work, and didn't have to take ownership of it

Made it to pilates for the third time this week

Got my transformation Game play, and enjoy3d it.  Had forgotten how insightful it can be, & has inspired me to message a few friends tomorrow 

Staying home instead of gaming was the right choice 

Caught up with friend in work today & she says she'll make the effort to meet me on Saturday

Team meeting was better today, glad I went (& also that team mate was there to tell me it was chat not work)

Sleeping in is fine workwise, and i got a nap at lunch, thankful for the flexibility

Glad we started tonight's gaming early, was a long game so ticks a few challenge boxes

Being able to afford to have the heating on and having well stocked cupboards, and somewhere safe and secure for us and our things

For gaming friends, and having opportunities to play different games 

Managed to get some work stuff progressed 

Enjoying one of the games I bought to solo

That we have time and space for hobbies, and husband indulges me

Managed to find a solution for this month's gaming 

Weekend

Enjoyed a quiet relaxing weekend

Tesco was OK, fairly empty

Different area explored for board game challenge, fun

Friend wanted to meet so I got dressed and out to meet her 

Got accepted on the course & managed to get the evidence together

Feeling better

Solo

Survived the work day, glad I had plenty of hours banked earlier in the week, and that I get flexi

We printed out the crystal resource tokens for my game and I'm happy with how they've turned out

I'm good at changing the filament now

Remembered to phone my mum and she was reasonably happy

Also phoned family friend

Intercepting husband ordering dinner in time to remind him we had left overs

Finally managed to beat the game again, there's hope for the other achievements 

Recharge

Being able to go back to bed before starting work 

Pleased with myself for figuring out the trouble shooting, & highlighting a potential issue

Twice! Figured something else out on different software 

Had a laugh with team mates

Meeples arrived and they're fab, glad husband got them for me 

Managed to win the game I'd got out to play 

Also another game that's fun solo - & maybe husband will play it with me (it's one he's played before)

Took myself off to the sensory gardens, glad I got the pass and that it was dry til hometime

That I have easy access to recharge activities and was able to do some

Feeling better afterwards

Friend reminded me about the pinch & the punch so I just got it in before noon
Send it to the family whatsapp and my mum responded which I'm pleased about

Work went well, talked the boss into an improvement, pretty much removing a chore task
