Productive

Actually continued the roll of finding things to declutter.

Some stuff went in the bin, some stuff was good to rediscover

Had a laugh with a friend over some of the old things I found

Contact is taking some of the stuff I have spare, & the rest is ready for charity collection 

Managed to get some more of my report written too, some decent progress made. 

Ate early and was fine for ball class

Got the bedding changed 

Walk with husband, the bakery had roulade so we have a new year treat

Got my prescription painlessly 

Thankful no-one got in touch workwise 

Fun

Work was easy and quiet

Fun chatting with friends

Glad I asked about the distance and we took th shorter option

Also very glad to suggest the new van and the others enjoyed it

Found it ok, better than going back to the town

Enjoyed my cake

Treated us to some relish

The expansion arrived and looks good

Might have found someone with a van who wants the bigger pieces of furniture I'm decluttering

Happy to have the push to clear the table and declutter / tidy a few bits

Stitches

Finished the bauble - phew!  It looks good.  

Have several smaller pieces of background that will work for it if I decide to do more.

The black aida arrived and I have it counted - will need to drop off a row and column to make the intended pattern fit - challenge accepted.

An old contact got in touch for gaming.  Have arranged for him to come here rather than meeting in town.  Looking forward to it.

Made it to pilates and enjoyed the session.  Just as well she mentioned that the ball class is later than usual so I have a hope of making that too. 

Day out

Weather was dry for our walk 

& Reasonably warm

Got parked ok 

Made it to the coffee van I wanted to check out

Relaxing

It was dry for my walk

Post collection is 5pm

Got eggs and soda bread - shelves had been restocked

Dinner was yummy

Won the game even though husband had the stronger board

Set up the next game, I remember it being fun

Managed weights again - maybe ready to get the next set out of the garage!

Glad we have the weights and the machine

Glad I am mobile and reasonably flexible

Nearly finished the bauble - it looks lovely

Finished another book and found another series I might enjoy

Finally managed to win the game I've been stuck on all day

Glad I have nothing to do except take it easy this holiday

Relieved I didn't make many plans so I have plenty of free time 

Early

For being able to edit, so I can do grats early and edit later

Another day off -loving the lie in

Another gaming session - glad the group exists and I can turn up if I want.  They're nice people

Enjoyed the session.  Also glad to leave early

Modern devices - the washer and dish washer and dryer, tasks are quick and simple

The shop was open and I got the eggs and oranges I went for

Noticed the bread was mouldy before I ate by

Made plans with a friend

Picked the final colour for the current cross stitch project

Relaxing

Husband likes the new game, we played quite a lot today.  He's also just ordered the expansion.

Just one sleeve short!  More on the way. 

Finally got round to snap and claim for the pile of receipts that were sat on my desk.

Found some scraps big enough for the bauble design.  Am managing ok with metallic threads.

Caught up with a few friends

Got a walk in to the chippie.  Love that we have shops close enough to walk to

Progress

Wrote a bit more of my assignment report

Husband has bought some games on steam to see if we like them - nice to see him showing an interest 

He cleared out another cubby hole 

Took down the unit before it fell down - noticed the brackets were being pulled out of the wall & the unit was distorting 

We got it upstairs & have somewhere to stick it short term til I clear it's new home

Got the blanket folded up & into it's cover ready to give away

Enjoyed cubitos - been ages since we played it

Worked through some of the pattern errors in the tiger

The book I was recommended is good - glad I didn't instantly dismiss it cos of the narrator

Found another project that shouldn't take much to finish

Relaxing

Husband came for a walk first thing

Listened when I said we should come home rather than wait

Treated ourselves at the bakery

Prescription was ready when I returned

Weather stayed dry for both trips

Finally beat him at Concordia! 

The games are quicker than they used to be.  

Am happy to be dithering less 

Managed some more of my report, & think widening the scope is the way to go.  Got a few more references and ideas

Made some decent progress on the cross stitch

Finished the audiobook I was listening to

Have another book ready

Got the headphones paired with the new phone 

Ordered black aida for the next project

Remembered to take a progress photo 

Slowing down

Almost got my work to-do list emptied 

Glad no-one's looking for me to do work

People did their bit without being reminded

Had time and motivation to do a proper check and got the database back in order

Made it to Pilates

Got the next game set up and a good opening move 

Husband came to the shop so we got our walk in and got Christmas pudding like I wanted 

Am getting back into the swing with the tiger, can see progress

 

Rest

Managed to get parked at Tesco and all our empties were accepted by the recycling point.  Got out of the space easily too.

Work was fun, got the photo I wanted for team mate and figured out how to add effects.  Team mate appreciated the effort.

Handed over a short dated chocolate bar to another office mate 

Got to see nearly everyone to say bye and merry Christmas 

Remembered the workshop just in time to join before the main event.  And dialled in lying down.  Got a break to rest before counselling and was enjoying a book.  Remembered counselling too. 

Husband played a game with me even though it was late.

Nothing new work wise so I got a few tasks cleared off my plate.

Relax

Thankful we got to lunch before the queue

And that the food was nice, I especially liked the Christmas pudding

The choir was at lunch so we got to hear them

New boss has asked about the award equivalent for temps - am impressed he instantly enquired although husband said he promoted him.  Still, it's a good sign.

Being able to take it easy on an off day and that I got to lie down to dial into a meeting I otherwise probably wouldn't have lasted through

And being able to take a nap after & I feel better now

Treats

Husband saved me a bite of cake

Got a table with the gang for the meeting, close enough to see the slides and mostly out of view of the presenters

Got a quick catch up with the boss

Thankfully he noticed & questioned my timesheet when I put hours worked instead of holidays & I've corrected it now

Played the new game and enjoyed it - is also quick enough to play during the week

Friend received her parcel

Made it home in time for ball class

Husband remembered to heat the left over pizza for dinner

Hobbies

Thankful for workmates and being able to chat / vent

That I got through most of the day's work and the urgent stuff is out of my hands

Managed to take a breath & negotiate rather than getting stressed / unresponsive.  Also that I handled it satisfactorily myself rather than going to the boss

Found some lovely patterns online, & only bought one - & it printed out well

Have stated a boundary, proud of myself

That I found my nose stud when I dropped it

Husband ordered us the dinner I wanted

Had a lovely day out with a friend yesterday

Husband came for a walk, & we got out while it was still light and it was dry

Husband helped me set up the new phone, thankful we have spares and I have the ability to figure out /  learn to use the new one

Walkies

Thankful for my day off, for a lazy start to the day

Managed all my trips, & by the time I'd been to the post office it was late enough to get my prescription.
That nicely had me at the chippie at lunch time

Having the noise cancelling headphones to escape the noise of the pressure washer

Still have time to request carrying one day holiday, and can do it from my work email in the morning.  A bonus day I didn't realise I have

Husband came gaming, & I got parked ok

Enjoyed a nap

Comfortable

Thankful I made ball class

That husband helped me inflate the ball more.  

Now it's a better height for working on.  

Husband finished in time for me to have the lounge

For being able to work from home, being able to spend the day in cosy clothes

Husband came out for a walk with me, the weather way dry.

Got the bin out before the bin lorry came round

That we have a nice house and things like heating and the cooker and the washers.

Made a decent attempt at one of the short questions for the assignment - now I have a context I know where the answer is heading.    

Hopefully it'll motivate me to do more tomorrow

Had a laugh with office mates at smoke break and got to catch up with the boss.   That they know i like the break & invite me.  

 

Warm

Thankful meeting went well

Gaming went ahead and was fun

Remembered to take coffee in to give away

Tea came quickly 

Sent on the gaming group details so they may join

Looks like club will resume next year

Blessed

Glad I remembered to drop the card off, & had a nice chat with the daughter.  

Pulled straight out at the roundabout

Got to venue just as friend did - perfect timing. 

Had an enjoyable afternoon and got a couple of treats at the market.  

Got home as dinner was ready, so yummy.  Am spoilt 

Am spoilt with the boss I have too, feeling very lucky with the team and manager.

And that i will get by with the course, that the deadline is still ages away.

I got motivated and made a start on another short question and found some useful resources. 

Social

The weather eased enough for us to get to the chemist

Glad I convinced husband to drop the prescription in yesterday so it was ready for today 

That our power stayed on

Met the others outside the pub so didn't have to go in alone

Got to chat with friends at the end

Friend's plans out better so hopefully see her at the start time tomorrow

Happy for her not getting the job she didn't want

That the rain blew over while we hid in the shops

Got most of my UK cards written and posted and still have plenty of stamps. 

The walk today convinced me to drive tomorrow

Got a suitable card for friend's husband

Husband is willing to come to carvery meetup if I organise it

He ordered selection boxes for the food bank initiative at work, he's generous with those types of things

He got my favourite yoghurts in the delivery

Drive

Thankful I got up on time and got to the hospital pretty much when I needed to

Remembered to fill the screenwash

Parking angel worked their magic again, clearing my way out of the space

Managed to switch lane when needed, esp in the traffic jam.  Thankyou van man

I love my car, and it accelerates well when needed

Got parked in the shopping centre too, in and out of space both ok.  

And in the right area for the shops we wanted

Found a trolley when the bag got too heavy.  

My magnets arrived and are pretty cool.  Kind act of leaving them in books at work coming up.

Drive

Got to the hospital for appointment time

Glad we asked so I didn't wait there 

Glad I had the headphones for reception 

And that one of the books I was waiting on was ready to listen to. 

Got parked, parking angels was phenomenal 

For the pretty scenery on my trip out

That I know how to treat myself (self-talk and alsp give myself treats)

Being near a cafe when I needed the loo, also the hot chocolate was nice 

Got parked again 

That I decided to call into reception and got in to see husband ages before he got his phone back

That he's ok

Made it home ok 

Remembered to do the fish

Thankful I found the sleeves to order

For getting the chance to chat with team mate about games

One-to-one is on Monday and nicely timed for gaming

Getting a big enough table at lunch

Lunch was a good laugh, husband shared his chips so I had plenty to eat

Got the hampers ok & there are loads of goodies inside. Managed to put the stuff into the cupboard too

Boss is happy with us and reassuring

& sorted out the lights in the study so my desk is better lit

Work

Team meeting was a laugh

We got to visit the giving tree and know what to donate

Having workmates to vent to 

Something that's taken forever got done today

Another thing got finished without needing chased

Met a friend on the corridor so got a walk and chat, I was hoping to run into her

Got a couple of workmates registered on the printers 

Advent

Husband filled my advent train for me, love how sweet he is to do that each year, alsp to be able to rediscover what I have rather than collecting more.

Enjoyed the walk and chat, and there's another cafe meet next weekend.  The weather was mild and dry and the coffee van's there

Liking the expansion we got for one of the games, and glad I put the other away.

For being able to put husband's washing into the dryer and empty it for him, to remember to do some of the chores  I know he dislikes 

Tidied up a little, glad to have no obligations or calls on my time, to have a relaxing weekend.
