the streak continues

A deskbound day and I remembered to take plenty of breaks.
I got a good bit done.
Got my movement every hour & got my 10k whilst doing a bit of shopping.
Went exploring to miss the traffic & now I know a new way, I knew it before but I chickened out of taking it.
Plans to meet a friend tomorrow for pilates, & have a good catch-up.
Next door just brought a broccoli stem & cauli leaves for my bunnies - happy bunnies
Remembered screen wash & fuel, really quiet at both places.

car reminders

  • Thankfully when I carelessly drove the car over a kerb no-one was hurt.
  • The car let me know the tyre was flat so I didn't drive on it
  • I have an inflator in the car so I could pump up the tyre & it held pressure long enough to get me to the garage
  • leaving the car in the garage & walking home & back gave me my steps for the day & I enjoyed the walk
  • I can afford the work on the car
  • I kept my good mood & shrugged it off as carelessness but no real harm done

Time, unhurried

A lazy, relaxing day.
Get places early at an easy pace, chill
wander round the park in the sun, was good to be outside in nature just ambling along
Got the car replaced, thankfully not much of a wait & there was wifi
plans made & booked for the weekend

Got my first!  All that time studying, those holidays I took - worth it
Now just finding more ways to chill for the evening, jobs done, nap time perhaps :-)

car

been a while, been keeping up with the thoughts, just not logging them here.

so, the car came in, I drove down without issue, I enjoyed the test drive, & got it the same day!
I am very excited, it's a lovely car.
I remembered to take the number plates, the spare key, the paperwork.

I got through to arrange the temporary cover.
Drove home without issue, am getting used to it.  Roads were clear.

Had a lovely dinner out.   Mum and Dad are well, the house was warm.
Got most of a pig knitted.  Home in good time to do some study

warning light

thankfully it came on when I was turned on the ignition in a local carpark, & I was just round the corner from a garage that was open.  When I think of all the motorway / dual carriageway driving I do, it's a relief I was close to home, with all the time in the world.

Since it was meant to be a long wait, I decided to walk home.  I had trainers on, though I do keep spare trainers in the car.  Went for an explore, headed in the right direction & eventually came to somewhere I recognised.  Remembered hay for the bunnies - they get to eat for another week ;-)

Walked back for the car, still pleasant weather. Definitely recovered my step deficit from the other week!  A bit of effort tonight & I could get 20,000.

I'm thinking it's a sensor or wiring fault.  Getting a lift to work (friend offered).  Phew.
& someone else was first post in the forum.  I started the intro thread, didn't want to be starting them all :-)

& body blast was good.  I knew the exercises, got a partner, am fitter than I expected & know where I'm weak.  Am also relieved I didn't walk there, if I had I wouldn't've seen the warning light til the morning.

Lazy & Shopping

Enjoyed my lie-in this morning.  Much as I appreciate having a job (& the lifestyle it allows me) I also love my bed & having a lazy morning.
So then a tootle off to the shops, I also love being able to jump into the car & go to where I want, & being able to buy things (within reason) without any worries.  So some shopping.  A wrist rest so I can type more comfortably, especially since I aim to be doing a lot of typing this weekend!  Again, linking back to the above, phew for the long weekend & having the time to chill & get some study done.  & talking of study. I got my marked assignment back.  I did well enough :-)

& then to online shopping & the convenience of being to stay in the warm & quiet & browse unhassled.  So I chose some card sleeves!  Got some more netrunner cards on the way, & sleeves enough for both a runner deck & a corp deck.  I have almost got the study to the point where I won't resent the time for building the decks.  Time enough for netrunner, for gaming tomorrow.

I may have found a cleaner.  I also have time enough to clean & tidy a little if the desire takes me.  It is also good that I have the time & means to indulge these little desires.  The hobbies I have.  The neighbours that don't mind / hear the musical instrument assortment I have limited skills with.

First world problems?  From this day forward I intend to appreciate what I have, which means all those first world problems should merely serve as a reminder that I am so far up the hierarchy of needs that first world problems are the most I have.
