Space

I have the time & space to chill, I took advantage of that today.  Husband took a day off too so I didn't have to be disturbed by the alarm or by him getting up (or by taking him to work), & I had a lovely relaxing morning.  Reading, & thinking about what I was reading.  I like blogging about the books, it encourages me to think about what I'm reading, & makes it easier to go back over those thoughts.

Bacon for breakfast, a worthy reason to finally get out of bed.  How spoilt I am that husband does the cooking, & he makes things how I like them too.  More relaxing as we watched a couple of episodes of the latest series we're into.  I'm thankful of the variety, of finding things we both like, thought provoking topics sometimes, the opportunity to discuss.

& then onto heroes, there's a card game we enjoy, & what else would we use the dining table for.  The set-up we're currently playing is a good one, it looks really tough but actually we've beaten it twice (or 3 times, I've forgotten how many times we've played).

Thankful that I have the days to take off work for relaxing, no demands on my time.  & I have found a surface I can use for my jigsaw!  I just need to clear stuff off the table in the spare room, hope we have no visitors staying over until it's complete :lol:

I ordered a new colouring book, then instantly went & did some colouring.   I'm going to break my 10k streak today & I'm ok with that (phew).  Sometimes it's worth losing just to prove it's ok to.  That would be like being wrong occasionally or making a mistake.  These things happen & it's good to be in the habit of accepting that.

Today I have written paragraphs instead of bullet points.  I like that I can write.  I like the variety that surrounds me.  Loads of my favourite things await me over the next few days, & / or have been indulged today.  I am glad I have the opportunity for self-care, the ability to recognise when I'm starting to wobble & the resources to right myself.  Today has been important for that.

Friends & warmth

met friends, had fun.

Was thinking how lucky I was to get a taxi within 10 minutes last night.  & a safe uneventful trip home.

A safe uneventful journey each way today too, & plenty of parking & seating.
The bed is cleared for mate's visit.  The house is warm & cosy, & slightly tidier now 👍  He can at least sleep.  Plenty of time to throw whatever's on the table onto the sofa & then into a box.

Used the new hoover for the first time.  Neat. & having it hanging on the wall means it's more likely to be where it lives.

Have started a new blog & got the hang of it.

Good days

I had a really good day, both today & yesterday.

Yesterday was bacon.  It was a fun social event.  We also had bacon on Thursday.  I am thankful for my workmates,& that we have a canteen, & that it does bacon.  Also I got a couple of things finished, & got my 10k steps.

Today was the beach. Cold & windy but dry.  Walk & talk, my favourite way to do both, combined. 😻
& more games.  Fun.  & we won.
The taxi arrived really quickly, & here am I home safe.  & more books arrived.  & I can easily write 100 words. I do that most days on my OU blog.  Sometimes even on my fitbit post.  Am thankful for the group, the social, advice, support, accountability.  I rediscovered the fantasy OU stuff.  I did enjoy writing that.  Great place to start when I'm considering writing 😍

I have fun & interesting interactions with people. I have good people.

Friends

I am thankful for my friends & all the different ways there are to interact, the phone (texting, calling) & facebook (for taking an interest without an interaction), & calling in / face to face & email & all the other ways.

I'm thankful for the house, & the room, & possessions & security we have here.
I'm thankful for our neighbours, & for being able to return the favour of taking in packages (& that there was someone in when I went to return it!)

I'm thankful for all the neat places there are around here, that we went to the zoo & got to see the meercat feeding, that the other animals were out to be photographed.

I'm thankful for all the hobbies that I can indulge, that I can read, write, type,  the simple things like being able to lie in bed & read a book, or sit at the pc & all the things that enables me to do.  I'm thankful for all the logs I'm able to keep (like mapmyrun, fitbit, 750 words...)

I'm thankful for all the books I have, that I can pick them up anytime I want.  I'm thankful for all the loft space that lets us store all the stuff we're dithering about where to store. I'm thankful for all the room we have, & all the options there are for when we're ready to part with stuff.

I'm thankful we have a garden, & that I have the bunnies out there.

2nd of the day

  • the time zone difference means I have the following morning as a safety buffer if I forget a day
  • I got my 750 words down in 15 minutes!  So not much impact on my day
  • Met my fitbit targets for the day
  • enjoyed the analysis of my 750 days
  • lovely stir-fry for tea, thanks husband!

change camp

  • was good
    • got to the bus stop at a good time (relief)
    • was good stuff for lunch (pakora, bread, cheese), grapes
    • easy peel grapes :-) (probably relief again)
  • co-presented!  Enthused.  Energised.  Nervous but "feel the fear & do it anyway".  It was a good laugh.  Reminded me about the dog tries to steal own bone video.  & now apparently there are fainting goats!  Gonna have to youtube that.
